Bugs!

While we were at the beach, Sophie and I spent time skipping rocks along lake Superior. The black flies make things difficult at times, but they like Chris better than me. :-) I have to remind Chris quite often to be "in the moment." He's not buying the "be one with the flies" and neither is Elise. Above is a picture of her jumping around to avoid their bites on the beach.

And also one of the friendlier species of insect we encountered: the Monarch butterfly, which are everywhere.
